Chattanooga Privacy Tree Installation

The Finished Project

These trees will stay lush and green year-round. They are better than a fence because you won't have upkeep, and they're great for the environment.

Planting the Trees

A Chattanooga TN privacy tree installation places young evergreens in a straight green line across a brown field. A worker stands at far left.

The next step was to add the mulch around the trees. This will increase the growth rate of the tree by holding in moisture.

This Green Giant Arborvitae will grow rapidly, reaching up to 50 feet tall and 5 feet wide.

A dense green privacy hedge runs beside a dark wood fence. Open lawn fills the left side with a gray gravel drive across the front.

The trees will grow together to create a beautiful, thick privacy screen for this family.

New evergreens line a black fence and cast long shadows across winter grass. A worker and a white bucket marked "ACE" stand by the mulch bed.

Here, we're finally planting the last tree. It's important to plant Green Giant Arborvitae 5-6 feet apart if you want to create a privacy screen since they can get 5 feet wide.

From above a thick green hedge stretches beside a black fence. Wide lawn and red clay patches fill the left side.

Cleaning up after a hard day of work. The team was successful at getting the trees perfectly lined up.

Tall layered evergreens create a dense green wall beneath a cloudy sky. This Chattanooga TN privacy tree installation screens the lawn.

These trees will stay lush and green year round. They are better than a fence even because you won't have upkeep, and they're great for the environment.

Creating a Privacy Screen

Ray Lawns was contacted by this family to come up with a Chattanooga privacy tree installation landscape design that could add privacy to their sunny yard.
Brian decided to use Green Giant Arborvitae Trees along the fence line to achieve this task. These trees are a great choice because they'll stay green year round, are drought, wind, and deer resistant, and quickly grow to get huge. These low maintenance trees won’t need to be pruned and are hardy in cold temperatures.

Follow this case study to see what Ray Lawns might be able to do for you!

Preparing to Plant

shovel and digging bar angle into a deep planting hole cut through red clay. Worker boots and a black nursery pot frame the site.

Just getting started.

Two workers use a mattock and shovel to widen a hole in red clay. Black nursery pots rest on the sunlit grass.

Placing the Green Giant Arborvitae Trees. They need plenty of room to grow.

A row of Green Giant Arborivitae trees with an aerial view, evenly spaced.

We measured between the trees to keep them spaced evenly.

We used a Dingo with an auger attachment to drill the holes for each plant.

Once the hole was drilled, we loosened up the dirt to make room for this #15 size Green Giant Arborvitae.

We added in topsoil to give the plant the best chance of thriving.
