There's more to privacy tree installation in Ooltewah, TN than just digging a hole and dropping them in the ground.
The Chattanooga area is so full of clay that you need to put the trees at least 2 inches above the grade of the earth or else you run the risk of the tree sitting in a puddle of water that covers the top of the root ball and rots the roots. Parts of our country with better soil and better drainage don't require that method of planting, but most of Hamilton county and north Georgia needs the trees to be planted above grade since this particular area does not drain well at all.
The great thing about Spartan Cypress is that they grow quickly, are low maintenance, can get up to 15-20 feet tall, and are tolerant to heat and cold. They are perfect for the clay soil that is found in the Chattanooga area. Once they are established, they are even drought-tolerant.
These trees were purchased at The Barn Nursery and have a one year warranty on them.
